Blue Bite Studio Updates
Flexbox Wrapper Compatibility
Today’s consumers demand that all mobile websites and experiences look great, no matter what device they are using. The Studio now supports flexbox configuration to adapt layouts either horizontally or vertically, allowing all your experiences to feature a consistently high quality UX for consumers.
“Flexbox is a one-dimensional layout method for laying out items in rows or columns. Items flex to fill additional space and shrink to fit into smaller spaces,” explains Mozilla; see the article for more information on flexboxes, as well as how to code them.
Support for Upper- and Lowercase String Functions
One of the great things about experiences is that they can pass consumer information directly to your CRM. However, sometimes that information needs to be formatted in certain ways before it hits your database.
Data and fields can now convert the data to use specifically upper- or lowercase characters as needed. This ensures your imported data, and data entered directly by consumers, will be formatted correctly in your CRM.
Date Conversion Macro
Some dates extracted from a user device are presented as a UNIX timestamp, which isn’t ideal if this information needs to be presented to the user in a human-readable format. You can now use a Macro to convert a UNIX timestamp to a human-readable date.
See how to format this Macro on the List of Macros page in the Academy.
Blue Bite Dashboard
Tamper Tag Support
Tamper Tag support means you can create experiences that, when used in conjunction with HID SIC43NT + Tamper tags, verify an item or product hasn’t been tampered with in any way.
For example, high end wine and spirit bottles include tamper tags that, if broken, report that the bottle has been tampered with. When used with Blue Bite experiences, your brand has the tool to tell consumers the product they purchased is not counterfeit or otherwise changed from its original form.
URL Redirects Made Easier
To save you time when building and modifying experiences, the Dashboard now allows you to configure a redirect URL immediately after selecting an experience type.
Behind the Scenes Improvements
And as always, there were also plenty of behind-the-scenes improvements to make sure experiences, the Studio and the Dashboard run as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
